15 Day Namibia and Okavango Tour

Enjoy a 15 Day tour exploring the desert and national parks of Namibia before visiting the magnificent Okavango Delta. During this tour, you will visit Sossusvlei, see the White Lady rock paintings, spend time at a cheetah farm, enjoy a safari in Etosha National Park, and experience both the Northern and Southern reaches of the Okavango Delta.

Experience sunset nature drives, see some of the most scenic parts of the country, walk Namibia's famous dunes, visit the famous dead vlei area, view the flamingos of Walvis Bay, sit and watch the wildlife at a watering hole in Etosha, experience open vehicle game drives, travel through the Caprivi strip, embark on a sunset river cruise through the Okavango Delta, visit a local Bushman village and more!

Your trip will include your transport, the services of a driver/guide, select meals, and all accommodation.

Itinerary:

Day 1. Maltahohe

After meeting your guide at your lodge or at the airport, make your way down to Maltahohe for the first night. Once at the lodge, settle in and then late afternoon you will have a Nature Sunset drive from the Lodge

Accommodation: Namseb Lodge

Day 2: Sossusvlei

Leaving after breakfast make your way through the country towards Sossusvlei. The drive takes you through scenic parts of the country and in the afternoon your guide will take you for a sunset walk in the dunes at the start of Sossusvlei.

Meals: Breakfast & Dinner

Accommodation: Quiver tree lodge or similar

Day 3: Red Dunes and Dead Vlei

Rising early this morning make your way into the red dunes of Namibia. Your first stop will be at the famous Dune 45. Here you have the opportunity to climb the dune and then once back your guide will have some coffee ready for you before moving onto the dead vlei area. Once at the start of the dead vlei your guide will have booked you a 4×4 vehicle to take you into the dead vlei. Deadvlei is a white clay pan located near the more famous salt pan of Sossusvlei, inside the Namib-Naukluft Park in Namibia. 

Once back from dead vlei make your way back to the main gate for your lunch stop.

From here make your way towards Solitaire where you will stop for a break before driving to your destination.

The lodge is one of the most spectacular places in the southern part of Namibia. With 100s of wild animals coming to the watering hole at night.

If you enjoy star gazing this is a good place for it as there is no light pollution

Day 4: Swakopmund

After a quick morning coffee, you’ll get ready for your educational walking activity with the lodge that takes you out into the wilderness for around 2 hours.

Breakfast is served once back in camp, then from there, make your way through the Naukluft park down to the coast of Namibia. Stop off in Walvis bay for lunch and also go see if you can find the flamingo population that make this park of Namibia their home. From here, make your way to Swakopmund for the night.

Day 5: White Lady

This morning there is time for you to do one or two activities that they offer in Swakopmund before moving onto the Brandberg and the White lady area. The drive will take you up the coast and your guide will stop over at Henties Bay before going back into the desert and then to the lodge in Uis.

Day 6: White Lady and Cheetah Farm

After an early morning breakfast make your way to Brandberg and then onto the White Lady rock painting. Once at the entrance to go through to the White Lady rock painting your will meet your guide and they will take you for a two hour walk to see the rock paintings. Once back make your way through the country and then stop off in the small town of Kamanjap for lunch. From there, make your way to the cheetah farm for the night. Once at the farm, meet the family that run the cheetah farm and also the cheetahs that have been rescued by the family.

Day 7 & 8: Etosha National Park

Leaving the cheetah farm make your way towards Etosha National Park and stop of at the small town of Outjo to stock up for the time while you are in Etosha. Once in Etosha drive to our camp and then settle in for the afternoon. All the camps in Etosha have watering holes and its great to sit and watch the wildlife come for a drink. At night you may also have the opportunity to see some predators visiting the watering hole. There is also an opportunity for you to do a afternoon or morning open vehicle game drive with the guides from the Etosha. (Own Cost)

Your guide will also take you on game drive while in the park and also visit the Etosha Pan before leaving the Etosha National Park

Day 9: Northern Namibia

Leaving Etosha very early make your way to the northern part of Namibia and then down the Caprivi Strip to camp on the Kavango river that runs into the Okavango Delta. The camp and Lodge is situated on the river of the Kavango. Once at camp your guide will book you a sunset river cruise.

Accommodation: Ngepi Camp or similar

Day 10: Maun

Leaving early morning make your way to the border crossing between Namibia and Botswana. Once through the border make your way down to Maun, the gate way to the Okavango Delta, arriving at your lodge late afternoon. Once in Maun your guide will explain the next day’s activity to you.

Day 11 & 12: Oddballs Eco lodge

This morning your guide will drive you to the airport for your flight out to the Eco lodge in the Okavango Delta. Oddballs’Camp is located on the edge of Chief’s Island, in the heart of Botswana’s Okavango Delta. For the next two days the lodge guides and staff will take care of your needs while in the wilderness of the Okavango Delta.

Meals: All catered for

Accommodation: Oddballs Eco Camp

Day 13: Ghanzi

Once back in Maun your guide will meet you at the airport and then from there drive back towards Namibia and overnight in Ghanzi and also visit the Bushman Village at Trail Blazers.

Meals: Packed lunch & Dinner

Accommodation: Palm Afrique Lodge

Day 14: Namibia

Leaving after breakfast, make your way back to Namibia. Once through the border the drive take you backs you the town of Gobabis. The lodge is just out of town on the way to the airport.

Day 15: Windhoek International

After a lazy morning and depending on your flight from Windhoek Hosea Kutako International airport, your guide will make sure you are at the airport on time for your flight back home, or if you are staying in Windhoek for an extra day or two your guide will drop you off at the place of stay.
