Itinerary

Day 1: Your guide will be at Hosea Kutako airport arrivals to greet you. Your guide will then drive you about 3h30 to the Kalahari desert, your first destination. The Kalahari is a semi-desert and the presence of grass and a few bushes provides food for a surprisingly large number of antelopes and other animals such as ostrich. To make the most of this area you will join the lodge’s sundowner with guide in an open safari vehicle. Enjoy your first G&T as the sun sets over the red Kalahari sands.

Day 2: Today you depart for the largest and oldest desert in Namibia, the Namib desert. Upon arrival your guide will take you to visit Sesriem Canyon and give you the first explanations of how the canyon was formed by rivers in the area. Tomorrow you will learn more as you discover more of the Namib Naukluft National Park. Enjoy a large buffet dinner at Sossusvlei Lodge with a wide variety of game meat cooked on the fire.
Lodge: Desert Camp. Basis: FB+

Day 3: This morning you will wake up extra early to head into Sossusvlei before the sun even rises. Climb to the top of Dune 45 to see the first rays light up the highest dunes in the world. Then head over to the famous trees at deadvlei, maybe climb Big Daddy, then finish the morning with lunch at Sossusvlei Lodge. Relax in the afternoon by the pool and catch up on some sleep after such an early morning start
Lodge: Desert Camp. Basis: FB+

Day 4: Today your guide will take you north via the Kuiseb Canyon and Gaub pass with a quick stop at the Tropic of Capricorn for some photos. Once you arrive on the cool misty coast your guide will take you to Walvis Bay to see the flamingos before going to the quirky town of Swakopmund. This is where you will spend the night. Your guide will recommend the best restaurants for fish and seafood in the town for dinner tonight.
Lodge: Swakopmund Guesthouse. Basis: FB+

Day 5: Get your cameras ready as today you go on safari! After a reasonably long drive north, but on excellent tar roads, you will enter the famous Etosha National Park. The park is very dry and the animals depend on the artificial waterholes to have access to water all year round, so this is the best place to find wildlife, and your guide will take you to each of them. In the evening you will be able to enjoy the large waterhole in the center of your camp, Okaukuejo, which is lit up at night to see all the animals even in the darkest hours.
Lodge: Okaukuejo Resort. Basis: FB+

Day 6: A full day of safari awaits you in the infamous Etosha National Park. Your guide will suggest you wake up early and leave as soon as the sun rises to get the best chances of seeing predators on the move. Depending on where the animals are found your itinerary for the day may vary, but most likely your guide will drive you east to have lunch at Halali Camp before driving back to Okaukuejo via different roads to see more waterholes and landscapes. You will likely see elephants in this area, as well as giraffes and many different species of antelope.

Day 7: This morning, make the most of your last full day in Namibia by going on one last safari in Etosha. Ask your guide to return to any areas or waterholes you particularly enjoyed or maybe explore the western edge of the pan. You will then head south, out of the park, along the main tar road back towards Windhoek. Your last night will be on one of the oldest guest farms in Namibia. Enjoy being in the bush and surrounded by animals once more.
Lodge: Dusternbrook. Basis: FB+

Day 8: Today is your last day in Namibia and your guide will take you back to Hosea Kutako airport in Windhoek.
