Elephant Point

Elephant Point

Elephant Point is situated in a region renowned for its natural diversity and concentration of big game and is undoubtedly one of the best game viewing areas in the Kruger National Park. The estate takes its name from the elephants that can frequently be seen drinking and grazing on the banks of the mighty Sabie River.

However, elephant is not the only magnificent creature you will encounter here. Herds of buffalo, prides of lion, leopards and numerous antelope species make their home in the surrounding area. Elephant Point borders the Kruger National Park and is also neighbour to the world-famous and exclusive Sabi Sand Game Reserve, home of Mala Mala, Sabi Sabi, Londolozi, Singita, Ulusaba, and others.

The estate is a 5-hour drive from Johannesburg or a short 45-minute flight if you can’t wait for your break to begin.

The luxurious villas are air-conditioned throughout and feature a fully-equipped kitchen with a separate scullery and laundry area. Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom, patio, and HD TV. The open-plan dining and living area is equipped with a fireplace and opens out onto a spacious patio with barbecue facilities.

Guests at Elephant Point can relax by their private pool and end off the day in their private boma area, with an open-air campfire and the sounds of nature.

Free WiFi is available throughout the lodge and the property can arrange for grocery delivery prior to arrival at an additional charge.

Private chef services are available at a surcharge throughout the week except on Wednesdays and Saturdays, when the Elephant Point Boma hosts starlit dinners. Any other day, enjoy sundowners with spectacular views from the River Deck.

Activities include self-guided walking trails, or the lodge can arrange game drives in an open vehicle. The Paul Kruger Gate into Kruger National Park is within 10 km, while Skukuza is 22 km away.
