Your guide will recommend the best restaurants for fish and seafood in the town for dinner tonight.

Day 5: Today you will get to participate in one of our favourite activities, a full day at Sandwich Harbour with a guide to see where the dunes meet the ocean. Enjoy a picnic in the dunes and a roller coaster ride in a 4×4 up and down the dunes of the Namib desert.

Day 6: Make the most of the last few hours in Swakopmund and do a bit of souvenir shopping as this is the best place for it. Your guide will then drive you inland to the beautiful Spitzkoppe mountain. You will stop on the way to have a look at the wide range of crystals, gems and semi-precious stones at the crystal market. When you arrive at Spitzkoppe you will go on a guided activity that will take you to the bushmen’s paradise, an area with hundreds of bush paintings.

Day 7: Enjoy a last walk around Spitzkoppe this morning, maybe head on over to the arch or see if there is any water in the rock pools. You will then head directly north via the highest mountain in Namibia, Brandberg. Here you will enter one of our favourite regions of Namibia, Damaraland, and the home of Twyfelfontein, a UNESCO World Heritage. A local guide will show you around this protected collection of hundreds of rock engravings and explain what they mean.

Day 8: This morning you will have the option of adding an additional activity, visiting the Damara Living Museum. Here the friendly locals show you their traditional way of life and you will come away much more aware of what it takes to live in this harsh environment. Your guide will then take you north towards the large town of Opuwo, the northern hub of Namibia. On your way, get your swimming costume ready as you will go for a picnic and a quick swim in the warm natural springs of Ongongo.

Day 9: This morning you will have the unique experience of visiting a Himba tribe. A local guide will translate, so we encourage you to talk to the Himbas and ask them questions, also share information about your life. After all, isn’t that what travel is all about? After the visit your guide will drive you on a nice tar road to your next destination, the western border of Etosha National Park. Have a sundowner on the terrace of your lodge overlooking the waterhole while animals come to quench their thirst.

Day 10: Get your cameras ready as today you go on safari! Your guide will drive you to all the best waterholes in the famous Etosha National Park as you go across its flat white landscapes from the western entrance to the center of the park. The park is very dry and the animals depend on the artificial waterholes to have access to water all year round, so this is the best place to find them. After a long and exciting day in the park you will enjoy dinner at the top of a small mountain overlooking the bush surrounding the park.
Lodge: Etosha Safari lodge. Basis: FB+

Day 11: A full day of safari awaits you in the infamous Etosha National Park. Your guide will suggest you wake up early and leave as soon as the sun rises to get the best chances of seeing predators on the move. You will continue east and stop at three different camps throughout the day; Okaukuejo, Halali for lunch, and Namutoni. Between these camps you will continue to go to the different waterholes to search for wildlife. You will likely see elephants in this area, and leopards are most prevalent in the east. Rely on your guide to make sure you are always in the right place at the right time.
Lodge: Enjoy a luxurious three course dinner at Onguma Bush Camp. Basis: FB+

Day 12: Enjoy a relaxed morning before starting the route back towards Windhoek. But first there is much more of Namibia to see. Prepare to stretch your legs as this next region is excellent for hiking. The Waterberg plateau has many hiking trails in the national park, some at the foot of the plateau and some going all the way up to the top. So there is something for everyone. Discuss with your guide which will be best for you. You will likely see many small creatures as the plateau is made of porous soft rock which creates many natural springs, and thus green vegetation unlike that you will have seen anywhere else in Namibia.
Lodge: Waterberg Valley lodge. Basis: FB+

Day 13: After a final walk around the Waterberg valley your guide will take you a short distance to another private reserve, but this time with a lot more wildlife. Erindi Private Game Reserve is known for its large elephants and lions and also has a large population of rhinos and cheetahs. One of the best places to view them is from your room or the restaurant as they visit the lodge’s waterholes. After lunch and a bit of tea and cake in the afternoon, you will join the afternoon game drive with an Erindi guide in an open safari vehicle.
Lodge: Erindi Old Traders lodge. Basis: FB+

Day 14: After a light breakfast you will meet your Erindi guide at the open safari vehicle for your second game drive in Erindi. The reserve’s guides all communicate with each other via radio to make sure you do not miss anything! If you are very lucky you may see Erindi’s pack of wild dogs (Lycaon Pictus), one of few places in Namibia where it is possible to do so. Relax during the hottest period of the day before heading out on another afternoon game drive and enjoying a sundowner in the bush.

Day 15: Today is your last day in Namibia and after a last game drive in Erindi (if your flight times allow it), your guide will take you back to Hosea Kutako airport in Windhoek.
