Zipline, Cheetah and Wine Tasting Tour in Gordon's Bay (Western Cape, South Africa)

For adrenaline junkies, wildlife and wine lovers alike! Enjoy an exhilarating zipline in the South African mountains, taste wine from a South African vineyard, and visit the Cheetah Outreach Project

  • After a safety briefing, be transported by 4×4 high into the mountain range where your adventure will begin! With each small group, two professional guides are present to ensure strict safety standards
  • Slide along steel cables from platform to platform, taking you past waterfalls and through valleys while enjoying all South African nature has to offer
  • Relax and enjoy a wine tasting in the Helderberg region ('clear mountain' in Afrikaans) which brings together the towns of Somerset West, Strand and Gordon's Bay
  • See the world's fastest animals: the cheetah. These creatures are endangered with only 7100 in existence in the wild today. Spier Wine Estate began an outreach project for the cheetah in 1997 but was relocated to Somerset West where you will stop for a visit
  • This special project breeds and uses Anatolian Shepard dogs to guard livestock against cheetahs who prey on them. This means less unnecessary killing of the cheetah which is very important
  • You will have the opportunity to take pictures with adult or juvenile cheetahs (a small extra charge)
