Table Mountain Summit Walk in Cape Town (Western Cape, South Africa)

Enjoy a glorious guided walk up Platteklip Gorge and experience the majesty of Table Mountain

  • Breathe in the fresh air and views of the Mother City, Lions Head and the Atlantic Seaboard
  • Cape Town lies in the Fynbos biome and forms a part of the Cape Floral Kingdom. Worldwide, there are 6 floral kingdoms and the Cape Floral Kingdom is the smallest and most diverse. Some of these plants grow nowhere else in the world
  • This hike takes approximately 2-3 hours and finishes with the option of doing the Table Mountain Abseil (highly recommended for even more amazing views of this beautiful city) or take the cable car down instead
  •  A minimum of 2 Pax is required in order for this trip to proceed

Duration: Open ended (2-3 hours; depending on fitness of the group)

Where: In front of the Visitor Centre, Lower Cable Station, Tafelberg Road, Table Mountain
Summer time: 1 December - 30 April at 7:30am
Winter time: 1 May - 30 November at 8:00a.m
Weather: Weather dependent (TBC on the morning of the activity)
What to Wear: Appropriate clothes and shoes for the hike, sunscreen
Things to Bring: Water, snacks, money to pay for any additional items and for Cable Car Ticket to go back down the mountain 
Guests or Spectators: This is a half day trip and only fully paid guests are allowed 
Minimum Age: 10 years
Fitness Level: Average
Inclusions: Professional hiking guide hike on Table Mountain Exclusions: Any additional items of a personal nature, return ticket to go back down to the Cable Car station
