Learn about Limpopo's amazing farming and history through a fascinating agri-tourism day trip in Tzaneen 

  • Visit three landmark historical locations to learn about Limpopo's historical and agricultural industry
  • To begin this trip, we visit High School Merensky (establ. 1936) which has a rich history in the local agricultural sector
  • Afterwards, visit nearby Allesbeste farm with a similarly rich history. This farm is now run by the forth generation of the Ernst family, and it is a leader in the growth and expansion of the new avocado varieties, including the Maluma avocado
  • Next after lunchtime, we continue on to visit the Amorentia Estate in the Politsi valley. Learn how Howard Blight (the current owner whose family bought the estate in the 1950s) established the kiwi industry in South Africa and was also instrumental in establishing his farm as one of the world’s largest macadamia nurseries
