Book a bushwalk or mountain hike in Hartbeespoort. Hike a beautiful part of the Magalies Mountain Range, which is part of the privately-owned Silkaatsnek Nature reserve.

The approx 4.5 km trail takes you right to the top of the mountain, next to the Harties Cableway where you will enjoy stunning views of Harties and the dam!

There are 2 different routes for walking down from the mountain, one for hikers who like a bit of a rough, rocky path and an easy road for those who do not hike often.

Duration:

For beginner hikers: 2 hours to the top and 2 hours down

For intermediate hikers: 1.5 Hour and 1.5 hours down

For advanced hikers: 1 Hour up and 1 hour down

Hikers can go eat something at the Harties Cable Way restaurant at the top of the mountain before hiking down. Hikers can take the Cable Way down and be collected and taken back to their vehicles at the starting point but this needs to be prebooked at least 3 days before your hike.

Plenty of wildlife can be viewed on the walk.
