Lesotho and South Africa Off-Road Bike Tour

8-Day Lesotho Off-Road Bike Adventure

This isn’t your average road trip. This is 8 days, adventure bike ride, where tarmac ends, and raw adventure begins.

Your ride kicks off in Durban, where sea breeze meets horsepower. After a bike orientation and safety rundown, hit the road through the Midlands and rev into action with a warm-up cruise past Howick Falls. But the real climb starts on Day 2  when you take on the legendary Sani Pass, a brutal gravel ascent that throws switchbacks, rock beds, and altitude straight at your front wheel.

Once in Lesotho, you’re in off-road heaven. Wind through the remote mountains of Mokhotlong, ride the ridgelines to Katse Dam, and drop gears into deep corners on the way to Thaba-Tseka. From there, it’s throttle-wide-open into Matabeng Pass, one of the roughest and most remote rides in the kingdom — where cliffs edge the trail and clouds kiss your helmet.

Fuel up with local flavors in villages like Sehonghong, chill out at iconic lodges, and spend a rest day exploring Maletsunyane Falls near Semonkong, or just kick back with the bike parked and a beer in hand. Then it’s back in the saddle, through high passes and fast gravel, descending via Ramatšeliso’s Gate, and ending strong through Underberg and Howick before heading back to Durban.

This tour is built for real riders. Gravel, river crossings, switchbacks, altitude, and adrenaline — every day brings a new surface, a new challenge, and a new story for your throttle hand to write.

If you’ve got grit in your soul and dirt on your boots, the Lesotho highlands are waiting.
Book your 8-Day Off-Road Motorcycle Adventure now — and ride the roads others fear to touch.
