Why Is Mpumalanga One Of The Top Tourist Destinations In South Africa?

Why are local and international tourists so drawn to South Africa's province of Mpumalanga?

It just doesn't make sense! I mean, the province of Mpumalanga in South Africa has nothing special about it at all... Except for the MAGNIFICENT escarpments, gushing rivers, thriving flaura and fauna, and let's not forget about the world-class Big Five safari experiences. I suppose that one can dive into luxury accommodation slap bang in the middle of the rugged African bush, surrounded by teeming wildlife and exquisite hospitality but who on earth would put this on their bucket list?

I'm still oblivious as to why people rant and rave about Mpumalanga. There's nothing to DO in the middle of the African bush, besides for sitting around and watching animals roaming by. It's not like there's an abundance of Big Five safari game drives and other amazing outdoor adventures like zip lining through mountains, white water rafting and tubing, mountain biking through forests, quad biking among waterfalls, paint balling, horse back riding or abseiling down granite rock overlooking the famous Kruger National Park.

I'm also perplexed as to why they call this region the Panoramic Route! It must have something to do with the unrivaled views, landscapes and scenery, such as Bourkes Luck, God's Window, Blyde River Canyon, Lone Creek Falls or Long Tom Pass. 

Maybe you can help me out and tell me why you think Mpumalanga is one of the hottest tourist destinations in South Africa by leaving your comments below.
