Photo Diary: Kayaking in Cape Town (Western Cape, South Africa)

A photo blog of a kayaking adventure in the Cape

My last blog post was jam-packed with information about the famous 'Big Five' and all the information you may need about them. I would like to change up blog styles by putting together another photo diary. This time, however, it is not a walking around of a city but rather, some truly amazing moments captured in pictures.

Kayaking

Recently, I went on a kayaking tour in Cape Town. It was spectacular. South Africa is definitely a fantastic place to kayak. As a not-so-adventurous person, I was nervous. I had never been in a kayak and I was afraid of the icy cold Atlantic water.

To my surprise, my nerves faded away and I was exhilarated by the feeling of gliding across the sea. The water was dark and a bottle green. The sky was clear and it was sunset time.

Watching the sunset from the water was pretty breathtaking to say the least. I would advise this activity to anyone looking to taking a break from the usual weekend adventure. It was an unforgettable experience...and the good news is Tours Africa has a similar tour in our extensive collection of South African activities. You can find it here: kayaking collection
