Visit one of South Africa's 21 National Parks!

If you're looking to relax in breathtaking natural spaces then one of South Africa's 21 national parks is where you need to go!

If you're fortunate enough to have some free time during the week or weekend then don't waste it! Enjoy the beautiful crisp weather and take a drive out to one of 21 of South Africa's National Parks. SANParks aims to provide ‘A  Sustainable National Park System Connecting Society'.

We took a trip to the West Coast Nature Reserve where we strolled through fields of wildflowers, enjoyed a picnic and visited the nearby Langebaan Lagoon with its famous tropical settings of warm water, white sand and beautiful natural rock formations. This treat set us back R77 per person, but if you have a Wild Card, your entrance will be free!

According to Birdlife SA, more than 250 bird species have been recorded in the West Coast National Park. When we arrived at the famous Postberg Section, where one can view the most wildflowers, the sky was filled with swarming birds - we thought perhaps the Armageddon was happening but, apparently, it's completely normal for feeding and reproductive purposes!

With so much to see and do, it's really worth taking a trip out to enjoy the delights of our beautiful South African National Parks.
